Hate it? Screw you. Everyone loved dragon ball, the anime with the most awards and propaganda out there ever, and One Piece is the same thing, except instead of aliens, it's pirates. Neither have perfect drawings, neither have perfect fighting technics that can be explained with science, but they're both damn good.
I'm not a fan of pirates, mind you. I'm just an anime fanatic who's seen it all, and this is defenetly far better than most animes i've seen. The characters are all different in their own way, and you grow to love them. Maybe 482 episodes is a tad to much, but once you catch up, you're gonna also wish that it doesn't end.
