Even remake and better animation, DB Kai has more weakness than DBZ. Some good episodes and scene are skipped, with fast talk, Gohan's voice also not like a kid. Gohan's music which is one of best music changed.

pros
+ insane fighting, lots of hand-to-hand combat
+ no fillers
+ design for hd quality
cons
- rather slow story, a lot more could have been done on e.g. character development
- dialogue can get pretty simplistic during the fights (aka, a lot of the time...)
- annoying sounds...

conclusion: remake of the original dbz and pretty okay in itself. seems like in its simplicity, this is more suited for kids than the original, but that might just be me... nice if you like the typical supernatural good-vs-evil with mostly hand-to-hand combat (read more)

I really hate sound effects in most of anime. What's with the jerrringgg sound? if you want to have fun I advice you to turn the sound off and watch in silence. When you read manga you absolutely not imagining these sounds and it destroys everything. Other than sound, dragonball is fit for every age. Even if characters die they will be back to life. Goku is a classic good man who likes fighting and protects everyone. You will have no regrets if your child watch this.
