Stop watching after the soul society arc

Bleach was good and interesting up until the end of the soul society arc, then the writer just lost his focus and it seems like he has no idea where he is going.
The anime is plagued with filler so I stopped watching the anime and began to read the manga, however the manga became horrible and I stopped reading it when they travel to hecto mundo (the place all the evil guys are from).
The characters make really stupid decisions in this anime, like one of the main girls lets herself be taken by the enemy, so her friends have to come save her.

The main character is weak, stupidly so.
The bad guys have like their 3 guys who used to be shinigami but are evil now who have like 13 or something evil lieutenants under them.

The main character keeps getting his ass kicked by one of the lieutenants who is fighting at his base power level (yes this is really retarded).
However even at his base power level the bad guy is destroying the hero.
So what does the bad guy do? he goes level 2 and continues to destroy the hero, then he does level 3 and still keeps winning, so I stopped reading as this is simply stupid.

Also before this fight there was a fight where one of the hero's friends is fighting a bad guy and keeps being beaten, so then another friend shows up and they keep being beaten then 2 more guys show up and 4 of them cant win, then they keep fighting against this one evil guy and keep getting beaten, then one other guy shows up and he beats the bad guy, this fight was spread out over 20 issues, so like 10 episodes in the anime I guess.
So stupid.
