Duelist Kingdom is the first arc in the Duel Monsters anime. Maximillion Pegasus (Pegasus J. Crawford in the Japanese version), using the power of the Millennium Eye, manages to seal away the soul of Yugi's grandfather Solomon Muto (Sugoroku Mutou in the Japanese version), and Yugi must save him by entering a children's card game tournament on Pegasus' private island. Meanwhile, Joey Wheeler (Katsuya Jonouchi) enters the tournament in order to pay for his sister's eye surgery, and Pegasus and several top executives at KaibaCorp plot to remove Seto Kaiba from the head of his company. |

It's the first series from YGO It's sure the best one among-est them but I'm with GX :P , the plot is good and the story is unbeleiveble and interesting to know , Hope you like the series I have all episodes in my laptop because It's not boring and can be re-watched ^^.

I already finished watched this few years ago and finished it again yesterday..,It still EPIC as ever. These few years, i have watched A LOT OF anime and i can say that Yu-Gi-Oh still above them all. Most new anime released in these days aren't original although i don't really care as long as they are good. Some of them are good but they are not even good as this series. For action anime series, i dare say that this is one of the best anime in HISTORY.

One thing for sure i NEVER get tired of the animation, its simply a work of its own. Im always impressed by the art and monsters. Especially the dragons which never fail to amaze me. But once ur like 14 maybe 15 or even lower u realize the dialogue is real cheesy and corny. But all in all its pretty good.

Every day i find new and amazing animes but here my fellow anime fans you have a legend! No matter how much time passes Yu-Gi-Oh will still be remembered! It may not be the most hardcore anime ever but damn it's got that "something" that so many other shows doesn't have! Yu-Gi-Oh is not just all about epic card fight it's about ancient egypt and modern society. And Yugi and Yami will 4 ever be one of the most amazing anime characters! If you skip watching this becuase it might be a little bit childish then your missing out on an awesome anime! 4 ( read more)

I'm a girl, but Yu gi oh is my fandom nubmer one [after Vocaloids]. I love the characters of this serie and even if I don't like those cardgames at all, I have watched all the episodes.
If you like dueling, games, ancient Egypt and more friendship than love, you should watch this. And as a girl you should watch this for hot anime guys and ship them together! [just kidding :) ]
I like the style of this serie, because it's personal.
The english dubbed episodes are more worser than the original japanese, because the dialogue doesn't go the same. ( read more)
