Why!!!!! :(

well I just watched the first episode of The Legend Of Korra. When the first series Avatar The Last Air Bender finished i wanted to know what was going to happen after they finished the 100 yr war but in stead they went forward in time and everyone but the water bender is dead!!!! (cannot spell her name) I was really cut >:L But it has a good story line so far. they did tell what happened after the 100 yr war and so on. Korra is the new Avatar and Korra is female. She is like kinder everyone from the first series but together. (in my own option) I AM a fan in the series so I'm looking forward to the next episodes.
