In the far distant future, on a planet that might have been called "earth", there was a war between samurai who mechanized their bodies. After the long war, people enjoyed a modest peace.
Facing starvation and abductions at the hands of fearsome mechanized bandits (Nobuseri), the farmers of Kanna Village make the dangerous choice to hire samurai for protection. The village's water priestess, Kirara, her younger sister, Komachi, and a heartbroken villager, Rikichi, set off to hire willing samurai with nothing to offer but rice from their meager harvests. Through dangerous encounters and a bit of luck, seven samurai of varying specialties and experience are gathered for an epic battle against the bandits and the merchants that influence them.

The story was really amazing I like it how creator try to make to samurai try defeat bandits.
but its still was not good enough because the anime was actually based on Japanese Movie called "Samurai 7" (1954) , so it was like watching True Stories movies you can't edit anything because you don't OWN the Actual Story-line .. so in the end its your choice to like or dislike it.
Other than the story the Anime is Great and you can't miss it and I did not regret once a bit for watching it.

definitely a great story and action anime

but the love store was very very sad (at least for me)
I wish they made another version of the ending :(

One of the greatest samurai movies of all time get re-imagined with a steampunk theme. Seven samurai are hired to protect the village of kanna from giant mechanized bandits and the motley crew of samurai's soon find out that they have a bit off more than they can chew.
Studio Gonzo really did Kurosawa proud with this series, The retelling of the story stays true to the original while making enough changes that things stay fresh even if you saw the original movie.

This is a genuinely good anime, i remember watching it long ago when it was first released and wanted to watch again. It does drag a bit in the beginning and near the end mainly due to need to build story for the remaining episodes. However the it is not the easist story to understand.

Excellente! The Samurai Genre is one of the most "cliche" themes in anime. But this anime series has the ff:
good depth, likeable and well crafted characters, terrific action without straining your eyes, and many twists and turns in the plot. Highly recommended for your time.
