Hayate Ayasaki is an unlucky teenager who worked since childhood to make ends meet due to his parents' irresponsible behavior. One day he finds out that his parents were planning to sell his organs to the Yakuza to make money, leaving behind a massive gambling debt on his shoulders. While running away from the debt collectors, he ends up meeting Nagi Sanzen'in, a young girl who is the sole heir of the wealthy Sanzen'in estate, and due to a misunderstanding, Nagi ends up falling in love with Hayate. After he rescues Nagi from some kidnappers, she hires Hayate as her new butler. |

this anime is a full on hit if you want to add a pinch of humor to your life. The relationship between the characters is funnny. The sudden introduction of new characters or even events is quite unexpected until it happens. Though the storyline is quite real based it can go too far with its fantasy some times.

With 50 episodes this is amasing. Its a fun blast of wonderful story and amasing crew.
The story is long and roving and in some ways doesnt get very far however its hilarious and the characters are both cute and fairly well rounded. The animation has few tangents and often sticts to the fun that makes it great.
The dialogue is wonderful. There are a ton of veterin actors, plus the added advantage that they often break the 4th wall and address the show itself. Added to that a lot of tie ins and referenses to the show and you got one heck ( read more)

The Animation is solid, in many ways a excellent show but it lags in some scense because it has a pastel effect. I find though in another aspect it has only hightened the cuteness of the characters.
The Entertainment is awesome. The episodes are 50 but honestly they are all brilliant and hilarious and the jokes are always fresh and fun and for a slice of life its not that heavy and makes you want to watch it more and more.
A must see for every comedy fan. ( show less)

At first the series doesn't seem to be attractive to me. Then, I realize that to enjoy this anime you need to be open minded and understand the puns (since the series got lots of it). The storyline is a bit chaotic and there are some very good extra episodes and some crappy ones but it still worth a try for those who want light comedies without putting much pressure in the brains.

I don't see any meaning in this series...
The plot was interesting and I think it is really funny..
But in the end.. It's meaningless..
I won't tell you to not watch this.. But..
Better not.. The manga is much better...
At least it doesn't have a shoujo-ish scene on the series..

This was one of those anime, that I couldn't stand watching till end. Everything seemed to forced. The characters were annoying, the comedy was very unfunny, and the titular character may be one of the worst designed main character that I've seen.
If you have lots of time to waste on stupid anime, or if you are a masochist to make yourself suffer by watching a whopping 52 episode of garbage then this is for you otherwise it's better that you avoid it.

this anime is about a boy who is very poor and for chrismass his perents gave him a very high bill to pay off and took his money he earned at a job and abondoned him. later he saves a girls live and she give him a job as her butler. thats the base of the story...
its a funny and long anime and i recomend it highly

As in the manga the story of Hayate no Gotoku absorbs the viewer into the show. Hayate no Gotoku is an absolute awesome show. I love this anime and thinks it is ranked highly above many other comedy animes. That said, the anime may be very interesting, but in my opinion, the manga is more packed with comedy and entertaining antics by the characters. All in all i would recommend this anime to anyone who's interested in the best comedies they can find.

Like i said in title...it is one of the best anime paroding...the anime!
Story or plot is not so fresh,there was already productions like Excel Saga (Nabeshin you rule! :D ),Pani Poni Dash,Gintama or Lucky Star.
Finally i will write that is my best of this type and i'm not changing my mind till i will watch second season (i am already on 2 episode heh heh :D )
Personally i recommend this anime for everyone who want to spend their time on watching absurdal situations mixed with great humour also spiced with a little of love comedy - what do you ( read more)

A purely comedy anime, with rarely any serious parts, it is one to be thoroughly enjoyed(I've seen none yet). There is no real storyline. There is comedy romance, nothing that's serious, as the characters tend to mess up their infutations and express them wrongly. It rips off anything it could possibly, making it funny in a way we can relate to. This a really good anime to watch if you feel down, it really picks up the mood and has you laughing in no time.
