| Summary: |
The series begins with a young monkey-tailed boy named Goku befriending a teenage girl named Bulma. Together, they go on a quest to find the seven Dragon Balls. Goku later undergoes rigorous training regimes and educational programs under the martial artist Master Roshi in order to fight in the World Martial Arts Tournament, a competition involving the most powerful fighters in the world. Outside the tournaments, Goku faces diverse villains such as Emperor Pilaf, the Red Ribbon Army, and the Namekian Piccolo Daimao. Several of the enemies and rivals Goku encounters eventually become his allies and close friends, including the desert bandit Yamcha, his martial arts classmate Krillin, the assassin Tien Shinhan, the samurai Yajirobe, and Piccolo Daimao's offspring/reincarnation Piccolo Jr. |

The reason why I like this anime is because the story is good and it has comedy in it and this is one of my top 5 animes.

If you ever seen Dragon Ball Z and wondered what Goku was like as a kid,How Goku meet Bulma and the rest of the Z fighters or just to see what really happen between Goku and Piccolo and why the Z fighters despises Piccolo in the beginning of Dragon Ball Z. You're questions will be answered with Dragon Ball.
As Far as Dragon ball goes its a great anime if you seen Z or even Gt you need too see this. So many things happen in Dragon Ball its funny with great action no super saiyans thou....I've seen this whole series and own them on DVD.

im surprised there are only currently 10 reviews... but this is a very fun series as goku as a kid and goes on many adventures as the story develops, good voice actors and great story line... anyone know y there is no GT or dragon ball z mvies here yet?????????

this series is not at serious as dragon ball z and has alot of humour and is fun to watch and im surprised it says nothing objectionable and is for all ages, there are minor perverted seens with master roshi which i find hilarious. bulma in the series is a little more loose and ... Slutty? but overall i suggest this series to dragon ball fans who atre all up them self over dragon ball z even though it might be better then this series as some say but i find both just as fun.

It's good to see how Goku started off, back when all the characters mattered and there was a storyline beyond "Bad guy shows up, everyone searches for dragonballs to revive goku who beats them at the cost of his own life. Then another bad guy shows up."
I'm amazed at how badly the people that dubbed this anime screwed it up!
The original jap version is probably the funniest anime i've seen so far! It makes me wonder how much better DBZ could have been if not tainted by westerner's hands. Thank you Chetanspy007 for uploading episodes 1 - 70 with ( read more)
