One night, Kazuki Muto jumps in to try to save what he thinks is a girl in distress from a monster and instead gets impaled through the heart. The girl, Tokiko, is actually an alchemic warrior with a Busou Renkin, name of Valkerie Skirt, with the mission to exterminate Homunculi. She implants the only other successful work of alchemy than the Homunculus, the Kakugane, to take the place of Kazuki's heart. The Kakugane resonates with his fighting spirit and forms a Busou Renkin (in his case a spear) so he can fight the Homunculus monsters who prey on humans. Kazuki joins with Tokiko to battle with the Homunculi and protect his friends and his sister Mahiro. |

It appears that this is a very worth watching anime. The idea might not seams cool bu it delivers very nicely.
It has an awesome story, got me going right from the start.
The story is about how the main character dies and is revived with the help of alchemy, but once that he found out about alchemy he can never go back to his normal life. He starts fighting to protect himself and family/friends. Soon after some trials he is pitted against an undefeatable enemy finds out that he is not your usual alchemist.

I really liked this anime! :) I have been looking for an anime that didn't drag out like *cough* Bleach *cough* yet was similar! :) This anime had a great start and a great ending, and the episodes didn't always end on a cliff hanger which allowed me to be a human every now and then! :)
PS I love Bleach don't get me wrong I just hate waiting for animes to finish! :)

Buso Renkin brings a new look about Alchemy you never thought possible. Aside the standard Humunculi (Full Metal Alchemist). It never lets up from the fights, drama, and angst the main characters have towards each other. Unlikely teams, as well as bizare turns of events here and there, and one thing that I always look for, but always miss no matter how many times I see it. It gives Supernatural genre/theme a new level of entertainment and meaning. One thing I didnt like is how Papillon dressed UGH*shivers*

This was a very good series. I got into because the creator of this series made Fullmetal Alchemist. This series has a good story line but moves fast. The fighting is short but good. Theirs some comedy in the fighting but sometimes fights are serious. The romance and here is ok. Mostly picks up half way through the series. I really like Buso Renkin. If you liked Fullmetal Alchemist, you will like this :D

This has been one of my favourite anime for a long time now. BAsed on the manga by the creator of Rurouni Kenshin, you are given a differnt story entirely surrounding Kazuki and the world of the Arms Alchemy warriors.
This is possibly the ONLY anime I can think of that has the PERFECT balance of action, adventure, humour, building romance and emotion.
You will find the same cheezy lines delivered in any other anime actually meaningful in this. You have a wonderfully silly and heartwarming hero and his friends, plus a range of other memorable ( read more)

Not to mention the irreplacable villain Chouno who... I dare say nothing to spoil it, but he's a villian who at one glance, you won't forget... and may need therapy afterwards XD.
But all in all, a GREAT show. Would recommend it to fans of Bleach or FMA. Only 25 or 26 episodes, so it's not too long, not to short and the story is perfectly rounded up - which is more than I can say for most stories.
Watch it. It's very underrated and awesome and the music is great ^^ ( show less)

The story is very energetic. The character are over the top but as it should be. I like it for it tribune to the human spirit and will power. I feel like I'm watching a super-robot show where everything is taken to the next level. If you like that kind of show I would recommend this one for you.

This series is fast paste with a but load of action in every episode. The 2 main characters are "been done before" types but they are likable and above all else, not annoying. The first 2-3 episodes will get you hooked as the plot line is NOT dragged out like most shows. it's to the point.
The animation is great, however the quality of the uploaded versions is, I would say 480p at best but it gets the job done. Wish HD had been around for this. It's got action, blood, death, and alchemy! Sounds like a win to me! Try it out you won't regret it.
