| Summary: |
Okajima Rokuro is a Japanese businessman…in a town full of Japanese businessmen. His normal day consists of social drinking with clients and being kicked around by his bosses. He finally gets a break though, as he’s sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc…only his boat gets hijacked by a band of mercenaries that were hired to steal it. “Rock” (as he is newly dubbed by his captors) catches the interest of the only female merc “Revy” as she thinks he’s worth a ransom, taking him hostage. However, the disc turns out to be more trouble than its worth, and complicates things both for Rock, and the mercenaries known as Black Lagoon. |

- very much devoid of humour
conclusion: be sure to give this a try if you like gangsters, action, and hot girls with guns. the storyline is original with intriguing side stories, kickass action, and some deep thought behind it, although an overarching plot seems rather nonexistent at first. enjoyably paced nonetheless, with great characters, honest and philosophical, though a little ( read more)

Black lagoon is the most Bad ass show youll ever see.... but wouldnt recommend to little kids because theres tons of swearing but thats what make the show soo bad ass and funny!!!!

This anime is unique, I liked it. The action is really kick ass. Interesting to see how a business man goes into the life of a mercenary. Pretty bloody, you meet crazy villains. Different missions are taken on by a group of mercenaries (main characters ). Overall 5/5, the action scenes stood out the most for me.

this anime is very entertaining with regards to the characters, they make the story interesting and what happens is also quite good, i love the storyline and how the fact that a simple businessman can be drawn into the life of being a pirate

Black Lagoon is a fascinating anime using a very interesting plot. VERY GOOD!! If you are looking for an anime to watch! I suggest this one! It takes a few eps to get into it but its quite interesting when it does. If I could re-watch this I would.
