In the year 2021, mankind was decimated by the epidemic of Gastrea, a parasitical virus, and is forced to live within Monoliths, which are created from Varanium: a metal that is able to subdue Gastrea. Soon, the "Cursed Children", children born with the Gastrea virus who are able to control it, which gives them superhuman abilities, are discovered. Due to the Gastrea virus' intervention, the Cursed Children could only be female. Civil Securities are formed to specialize fighting against Gastrea, operating with the pair of an Initiator, who are cursed children, and a Promoter, serving to lead the cursed children. Ten years after the epidemic, Rentarō Satomi, a high school student who is also a Promoter in his childhood friend Kisara Tendō's Tendō Civil Security, along with his Initiator Enju Aihara, receives a secret mission to prevent the Tokyo Area's destruction. |

They say the plot is like Shingeki no Kyojin well yeah it's like a modern shingeki no kyojin but not as awesome as shingeki was. Maybe I will recommend the anime for lolicons but I will recommend the manga to read cause it's much better...REALLY.

This new anime Black Bullet is really entertaining from what I have watched so far. I hope this becomes a anime with as many episodes as One Piece, Bleach and Naruto and not just a once off short season. Cant wait for the next episode of Black Bullet to air. I recommend this to everyone.

Note: This is not a review, more of a "current impression" based on the first 4 episodes.
A "survival" concept in an anime is a very generic concept nowadays. The show has many parallels to SnK - Gastrea is a parasitic virus because of which human species is being faced with a threat of extinction, and the only hope for survival are the 'cursed children' which are the spawns of people infected with the virus. Attractive right?
Anyway, the show starts off very nicely (Kudos to the excellent animation!). The main character Rentaro is surprisingly ( read more)

Anyway, the show starts off very nicely (Kudos to the excellent animation!). The main character Rentaro is surprisingly not as annoying as I thought he would be. The other prominent characters are interesting as well. But here's what disappointing - the pacing is just bad. First episode - rushed, second episode - not as rushed but still the pacing is off, third episode - pacing is off again, fourth episode - extremely rushed. Yeah, the pacing is just too damn much to take in. The fourth episode was a horrible episode, everything happened too fast, a total mess - I dropped it. I'm thinking of picking it up again, but I don't know, I might not.
If you wanna watch this, then I do recommend it if you do not care about flaws. But this anime is not for people who are fussy over pacing. ( show less)

I've watch anime for years now and - never thought I'd see another anime that would be in the same league as death note. Black Bullet well done

I'm at a disadvantage who have read the original manga, but I'll share what I think so far. Fortunately, it seems the first four episodes make up the first arc of this story.
The set up is very similar to the shows that are popular this time around: Monsters overtaking humanity that can only be defeated by some specific mineral, and the people involved in fighting them have a risk of losing their humanity. Fortunately Black Bullet has some things going for it.
The villain sure was an interesting character, and the action is swell. I like how ( read more)

I'm on the fence on this show. It feels average, but not in a bad way. I'd give it a 6.5/10 or a 7/10. I'd recommend giving the first four episodes a chance if you have the time, but it's a safe bet to say that if you don't like the first episode then this anime is not for you.
In summary: Common plot, but interesting characters and still worth a casual watch. ( show less)

ooooppppssss earlier today i wrote a review which was meant to be for Black Bullet but I accidentally posted it for akuma no riddle (^.^') *sweat drop*
so here it is:
loved the animation but the plot was vary similar to attack on titan!! isn't this stealing someones work?
although I've watched 2 ep so far so I can't tell what will happen next!!
