Tanaka Yukio, better known by his nickname Koyuki is a 14 year old who feels disconnected from life in general. this anime is definitely worth the download hell i acquired the brrip version while having the dvds. This is no substitution to just past the time it's really good and the plot is awesome. the music is the best!!! i loved chiba's style!!!plus with tracks like follow me and by her you'll be singing along in no time!!!

This anime is true to it's cause. I'm a big music fan but not many music animes out there that are as inspiring, and well rounded as this. It has a totally cool down to earth retro feel to it, great soundtrack, has a good pace and story that will keep you interested. The relationships are good, they did a really good job of mixing the feelings up in between characters at points of the anime to keep it from becoming too parallel, one in particular had me up and down, at some points had me furious, others I couldn't stop watching until I felt some ( read more)

Guys this is a have to watch if you like music and like going to see some bands at venues. This anime is one of those animes that i watch when I am unmotivated. When I am done watching this anime I feel refreshed and ready for life again :P.
The story is good and I like the music they play in this anime allot.
Not everyone likes the slice of life series but if you do this anime if or you, it has everything you are looking for in this category.

very entertaining anime. At first after reading the review, i was wondering whether to watch this anime coz it seems to be interesting but the cover looked a bit dull so i just give it a try. I found out the animation and the story was not bad so i continued to watch it and found out that this anime has lots of GOOD musics and songs coz it involved the making of a band. I love the songs, characters(the voice actors and actress too) and the arts. NIHON ANIME INDUSTRY BANZAI!!!!
This story also made into a live action drama

this is one of the best anime's out there, it has everything an anime should have, and one of the few anime that doesn't make you feel like there is something missing at the end of it. The story is great, and and characters are what make the anime come together flawlessly.

Well in oppose to the review that said this anime was bad i have to say i disagree as this anime is quite good from my personal opinion it does not involve any action or fantasy but it is more like a drama and it is enjoyable for those who are into music and for thsoe who actually play instruments and are involved in bands

One of my all time favorite Anime series. Sure it doesn't have any battles, or magic in it. But it's fun, the music is good, even great on some occasions. Though they could have done a better job with the supposedly fluent English speakers. You always find yourself rooting for the underdogs, though I do wish they had continued the story instead of ending so abruptly.

I simply says this anime is suitable for those who are in/making a band and you can get some music knowledge from this series such as bass slaping,blues scale and much more.

for all you music fans out there.. this is a must watch anime.. but i dont recommend this for hip-hop, rnb, pop loverss~
the animation is so detailed that you can figured the music tab by watching the character fingers during jamming session. story full of music history like cobain, sid, mercury, marley, lennon, and so on..
the music is great btw~
