On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". She asks for any aliens, time travelers, sliders or espers to join her. Watching her weird behaviour is Kyon who sits in front of Haruhi and is the only person who talks to her. When Kyon comments about Haruhi's joining every club in school and then quitting he unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own after school club. Thereafter Kyon and several others find themselves dragged, literally, into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short).

Overall Rating
Good
Story: 4
Dialogue: 5
Animation: 4
Entertainment: 4
The story starts off at a slow and comfortable pace, bumped and shook a little but then lifts off and spreads its wings about a quarter way through the season.
I rated the story 4/5 1 point off perfect because although I fell in love with the characters over time, it moved very slowly at times (endless arc etc)
Dialogue was truly outstanding, probably the best dialogue on any anime I've seen so far from the main character Kyon, who shows disbelief at first towards Haruhi's power but slowly accepts it.
Animation is above average, with the aid of the storyline and dialogue, it does not disappoint.
All in all, I was thoroughly entertained and would've given entertainment as 5/5 if it were not for the Endless Arc.
I would recommend this anime to anyone who is up for a smart anime and is taking a break from the more action-oriented anime
