Summary:
For several years, Kyousuke's relationship with his younger sister Kirino has been cold, to the point that they only share greetings. But one day, Kyousuke finds a moe anime DVD fallen in their entry hall. His interest piqued, he looks for the owner, only to realize it belongs to Kirino. He's shocked, but more surprises lie just ahead...
I debated watching this one and Im glad I did. It defiantly is weird in its overall feels and the situation between the family is not always the norm brother and sister relationship. However the series is actually very true to life with several big issues wrapped up in spectacular humor such as: being accepted into society while holding odd hobbies or the delicacies of family relationships and how even a long stint of estranged behavior can be changed. Overall the heartwarming message that no relationship cant be fixed is beautiful.
The Dialogue is sharp and very cute. Every actor does a good job playing off each other so the anime can be very realistic yet go on the bizarre premis. I feel that they make it so normal yet so wonderful that it couldn't be anything but like real life which is pretty epic in its own right.
The Animation is very strong. I looked at this one in many ways its the perfect anime. It doesn't have glittery effects but in many ways added to the realism. Its very thoughough and honestly its background never seems to be slapped in. Counter to that the backgrounds are surprisingly detailed.
The Entertainment is strong. The laughs are good and it gives a good feeling after watching it. It does have some aqwerd moments but it adds to the charm and honestly doesn't have anything objectionable. For one watching it I will warn episode 12 is a what if episode... their are supposedly two 12s showing a different version of a key choice. I like how the Episode 12 ended but the other choice does show a very good Season Wrap up as well.
