Summary:
Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto. The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki.
This series is just awesome, nobody would deny it.
The only problem with this is fillers, similar to any large series like bleach. One piece has relatively less fillers considering its length.
But why do you think they put fillers in between and not stick to story?
It is because fillers are pretty important for the series to move on.
I am an animator myself and I was shocked to see that they are releasing a 20 min episode every week for more than 10 years now. Making a 20 min animation in a week seems just impossible to me, how do they manage it? It is shear hard work and they are doing it for years to put forward such an outstanding series.
The same thing applies to manga also. They try to keep manga at least 1 year ahead of the anime so fillers are required. The manga writer also needs breaks, he is a human after all.
So if you can't appreciate the efforts, at least don't judge the series with the fillers.
