Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto. The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki. |

First off I would like to address the idea that has been put forward that Naruto Shippuuden is not the same as Naruto; well of course! Shippuuden takes place years after the original Naruto cartoon so the character has matured (well a bit). Secondly people complain about drawn out story lines. If the story lines weren't so drawn out then climatic moments would become overly common place. Episodes that become edge of your seat jaw droppers would just be a part of another over the top anime. I do agree that boring filler with never to be revisited story arcs can be annoying but they seem to show up in Anime series that break into over 100 episodes. Shippuuden is more the story of Naruto growing up and taking on more responsibility and showing that he's not just the knuckle-head ninja of Khonoa.
