pros
+ interesting and well-designed characters
+ storyline works with some twists and a nice mystery feel to it
+ great animation, dark but just as great artwork, and good music
cons
- somewhat has its own story (rather than following the manga)
- comedy can be off-putting if you don't have the sense for it (bit twisted at times)
- for the longest time vague where it comes to the mc's history
conclusion: so it's not the best out there, but it's a good one to watch. mystery, a storyline separated into small but somehow connected arcs, a few twists and turns, intriguing characters with actual development, and the right flavour of darkness to it. good art style, great chara design, and the music fits the whole thing well. a bit vague throughout however, and seems completely unrelated to the manga, which is why i personally wouldn't watch it again. what also may put people off is the comedy as it is quite a bit sadistic most of the time. i'd say it's definitely geared towards girls due to the main characters and their connection, but it still is worth the watch if you want something darker than usually and don't mind dark comedy. for me personally, it's not my fav but it does its job.
