Jiyu Nanohana is an ordinary schoolgirl until she runs across a scatterbrained 300 year old samurai who tells her that she is the reincarnation of Yagyu Jubei. With the help of the "Lovely Eyepatch" she transforms into the legendary swordsman whenever she needs to use his awesome fighting ability, which she needs to do quite often as a rival clan is dead set on conquering Yagyu to satisfy an old family grudge. |

Ahh Jubei chan, cute story (terrible dub, specially at first) but still entertaining.
Story: Okay so maybe its a Samurai piece mixed with magical girl anime, a bit predictable at points, but really guessing what comes next is half the damn fun.
Dialog: well as stated before these eps are Dubbed, and WOW was the dub terrible in the early eps, later ones got better at it, but not by much.
Animation: It took about one ep to figure out this series shtick when it comes to Animation.... you see most of the episode is fairly low quality, only enough to get by.... then the bad guy shows up, Jiyu puts on the lovely Eyepatch (cue magical girl transformation sequence) and then they spend all the money on the fighting sequences, which are slick and damn beautiful
Entertainment: Oh sure there are better series out there, but if you don't mind listening to it in English, this series is a great way to spend an evening, trippin through the old school anime fields.
Be forewarned the eps are in an odd format, personally I have never heard of *.ogm before, but Zoom Player 7 with all the codecs seems to be able to play it without TOO many difficulties.
