like pokemon, digimon was slowly becoming worse and worse with each passing series. i cant say for sure, but i would like to belive cross wars has what it takes to bring digimon back to the top. only one episode has been released so far so its kinda hard to tell where the story is gonna go, but it has amazing potential. this series is going to be very militarized, so im expecting alot of genious tactics, not just running in head first. which is probly going to happen seeing the main characters are so young.

on a more negative side its scratching at my OCD about changing a perfectly good system, that means, as far as i can tell, they took out digivolving. all changing/ evolution done in the first episode was some kind of absorbtion, and through digicrossing. which is basicly DNA digivolution, with two rookies (child) and creating something that looks exactly like omnimon, without the sword and cannon. (i call it something because as of right now its still unnamed)

another thing that irratates me is the fact that the main characters digimon, supposedly a rookie (child) defeated a mammothmon, an Ultimate (perfect) with a single attack.

as a side note: the series continualy used older and older children each series, now theyve gone backwards, which i think is a mistake. the first series everyone was between 11 and 6 years old (i know that dosnt sound right to some of you, but think: joe is the oldest and hes in 6th grade). for cross wars they look younger than the kids from the first series. theres no mention of age or school grade or anything we could use to referance other than theyre all pretty short.
